In this role youll do more than write code youll define the technical vision that powers financial flows across borders currencies and regulations. Youll partner with and mentor multiple product engineering teams ensuring our financial platform is not only reliable and scalable but also elegant in its you thrive on solving complex architectural challenges enjoy guiding teams toward technical excellence and want your work to have a global footprint this is where you can make it happen.
Your mission should you choose to accept it:
- Lead and inspire 6 product engineering teams within the Fintech Tribe to achieve technical excellence.
- Develop and evolve the technical strategy for our regulated payments platform ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define and communicate a long-term architectural vision that meets business needs and enhances system resilience.
- Serve as the go-to technical authority for critical decisions within your domain.
- Elevate standards for code quality observability and performance across our systems.
- Collaborate closely with Product Platform and Compliance teams to build secure and scalable solutions.
- Participate in technical hiring process including designing interview loops and making bar-raising decisions.
- Act as a mentor and coach fostering the engineering craft across the organisation.
Youll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:
- Demonstrated success as a Staff Engineer Principal Engineer or Architect in modern software environments.
- Must have Significant experience working on regulated payments systems or within financial services.
- Deep understanding of backend systems cloud architecture and distributed services.
- Strong sense of ownership urgency and pragmatism in building solutions.
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills with the ability to unite teams and stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing continuous improvement and systems thinking.
- A drive to simplify complex systems and a humble approach to learning and growth.
