Location: Lichfield Office Based Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm 37.5 hours per week
Reporting to: Team Leader Direct Sales
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Direct Sales professional to join our clients sales team in Lichfield. This role is responsible for managing the full customer sales cycle for direct-to-site enquiries ensuring outstanding service delivery accurate data management and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound sales enquiries by phone and email providing excellent customer service.
Build strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and account growth.
Prepare and follow up on quotations ensuring accuracy in data and order processing.
Promote products campaigns and upselling opportunities.
Share customer and market insights with colleagues to support business development.
Use CRM and project tracking tools effectively to manage opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of sales and margin targets
Customer retention and account growth
Conversion rates of enquiries to orders
Accuracy in order processing
Product mix and utility KPIs
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in internal sales customer service or account management
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple enquiries and prioritise workload effectively
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities
Team-oriented with a proactive and positive approach
Collaborate with specialist sales teams and attend events when required.
