Job Description
Amazon is seeking a proactive and result oriented Accounting Manager based in Beijing. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with worldwide Amazon to ensure high quality and timely deliverables. This role should have a solid understanding of US GAAP tech backgrounds of finance/accounting related automation projects excellent communication and organization skills including the ability to anticipate identify and communicate risks to business stakeholders as well as a passion to continuously enhance processes.
Candidates for this position will be expected to demonstrate they were top performers at their level who thrive in a fast-moving workplace environment and can actively contribute to support our growing activity worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.
Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
Strong sense of ownership.
Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
- 8 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- University degree in business/economics/accounting
- Experience working with IFRS or US GAAP
- Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines on critical projects
- Detail-oriented yet able to reflect on and understand the big picture
- Fluent in business English both verbal and written
- Must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced global company
- 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8 years of experience with an emphasis on accounting preferably gained within an accounting firm or a medium to large international company in a fast-paced and changing environment;
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications and SQL/ETL
- Hold CPA or similar credentials
- Experience in project management with exposure to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing
- Strong priority management and communication skills
