Job Description
- Masters degree or PhD in a quantitative field (computer science data science mathematics physics chemistry economics or statistics) and 2 years of work experience. Willing to consider a candidate with a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field and 5 years of experience.
- 2 years industry experience building tools or custom packages in Python
- 2 years of experience in object-oriented programming in Python. Will consider significant experience in a different object-oriented language (e.g. Java Scala)
- 2 years SQL experience
- Experience using git for version control
- Experience in designing analytic solutions to open-ended problems
- Experience in building relationships across teams communicating technical content and analytical insights to teams from various disciplines
- Prior industry experience with Airflow or other scheduling technologies
- Prior industry experience doing engineering system design
- Prior industry experience building ETL pipelines for stakeholder consumption
- Prior industry experience in full stack web application development
- Prior industry experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Prior industry experience with building anomaly detection systems
- Prior industry experience with Big Data using technologies like Hadoop Hive and Spark
- Prior industry experience with building dashboards and visualizing data in technologies like Tableau Dash Plotly etc.
