Finance Manager- Auckland

About the role:
Reporting to the CFO and leading a team of 4-5 finance professionals youll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strength and strategic direction of the business. Youll be responsible for end-to-end financial reporting external audits compliance and business insights while developing a culture of accountability continuous learning and performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where youll inspire and mentor your team foster cross-functional collaboration and model the standards expected of a high-performing finance function.
- Deliver accurate timely financial reporting including Board packs variance analysis and forecasting
- Lead the external audit process ensuring clean and timely audit outcomes
- Drive financial analysis that supports business decisions and strategic planning
- Ensure robust month-end and balance sheet discipline with a no surprises mindset
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team embedding accountability development and team cohesion
- Promote strong business partnerships across departments enabling commercial clarity and financial understanding
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across all finance activities
About you:
- CA qualification (CAANZ or equivalent) bachelors in accounting
- 5 years in senior financial roles ideally with audit and financial controller experience
- Experience is NetSuite is preferred but not essential
- Strong NZ tax knowledge and expertise in financial compliance
- Proven leadership capability including coaching mentoring and team development
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- A collaborative professional communication style with the ability to engage across all levels
