You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University invites applications for two-year postdoctoral position(s) with possible extension to a third year subject to the availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The expected start date is January 16 2026 with the end date of December 15 2027.
Duties will include carrying a 2-1 teaching load and will be involved with mentoring undergraduate students in research through the Iowa State Math Research Teams (ISMaRT
PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline obtained by the appointment date. Research interests in mathematical biology.
Experience teaching and mentoring students.
Strong coding experience preferably in Python.
This position is in mathematical biology aligning with the research interests of Prof. Claus Kadelka. This includes work on two NSF-funded projects on Canalization and Other Design Principles of Gene Regulatory Network Models ( and A mathematical theory for the biological concept of modularity ( Start Date:January 16 2026 Candidates applying before the guaranteed consideration date of September 15 2025 will receive full consideration.
