Job Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes tire balancing and rotation and cooling system flushes as outlined on repair orders.
Sell lubrication services safety inspections and other related services; maintain records for regular customers and follow up as needed.
Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
Check and adjust tire pressure.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
Assess vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
Notify the service advisor if additional work is needed if the outlined work is unnecessary or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
Conduct road tests to ensure vehicle functionality.
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Ensure vehicles are kept clean and notify the service advisor of any changes in vehicle condition.
Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
Account for and return dealership-owned tools and manuals in good condition.
Comply with federal state and local regulations including hazardous waste disposal and safety procedures.
Operate tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues to management.
Job Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts commissions and percentages and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Job Requirements:
Valid Drivers License.
Background and MVR Check Required
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to walk use hands to handle or feel sit talk or hear and taste or smell.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision.
