Job Description

When Alfred Fain opened a small Rhode Island tire store in 1924 no one could have predicted the journey that would transform Teknor Apex into an international leader in custom compounding. Today a century later we are proud to remain privately held fostering deep trusted customer relationships across 10 U.S. locations and operations in Belgium Singapore Germany and China.

We are now seeking a Sales Manager to lead coach and develop a team of Account Managers in North America. This role is pivotal in driving disciplined pipeline management building strategic customer relationships and accelerating growth within our Engineering Plastics and Elastomers business.

What Youll Do

As a key member of our Business Unit leadership team you will:

  • Lead coach and develop a high-performing team of 46 remote Account Managers.
  • Manage a team sales budget of $30M$60M across North America.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in account planning territory management and opportunity reviews.
  • Ensure disciplined pipeline creation velocity and commercialization to meet both current and future growth targets.
  • Conduct structured skills assessments design development plans and provide actionable coaching.
  • Track KPIs forecast gaps and implement countermeasures to ensure delivery of the Sales Plan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to align strategies remove barriers and accelerate execution.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8 years in B2B sales with at least 5 years leading or coaching account managers.
  • Proven record of exceeding revenue targets and accelerating pipeline growth.
  • Expertise with CRM systems sales analytics and commercial excellence frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in the Thermoplastic Elastomer (SBC TPV) space in regulated applications.
  • Strong leadership communication and performance management skills.
  • Ability to travel 4070% of the time across North America.
  • Decisive outcome-driven and skilled at driving a cadence of accountability.
