Vendor Relations Coordinator

Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Vendor Relations Coordinator

Pay range: $24 - $32 hourly

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

Aerometals is looking for a Vendor Relations Coordinator to join our Supply Chain department. As a Vendor Relations Coordinator you will regularly make phone calls and focus on building and maintaining relations with vendors to ensure materials are received on time and smooth communication between all parties. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Build and maintain strong relations with vendors.
• Monitor existing purchase orders and provide status updates.
• Verify purchase order activities are aligned with scheduled needs.
• Ensure that due dates and delivery dates for materials will be met.
  • Update statuses for past due orders.
• Update PO internal notes with real time information such as: contact initiated with supplier current status due dates tracking reason codes etc.
• Be a point of contact for supplier related nonconformances.
• Collaborate with vendors when corrected paperwork is needed.
• Assist with Time Sensitive Materials (TSM) by completing tasks such as:
  • Buying TSM items and tracking expiration dates.
  • Occasionally helping Planning look at TSM for upcoming jobs.
• Complete purchase orders for items such as but not limited to jobs calibration shop stock office supplies outside processing non-job items etc.
• Help maintain the approved supplier database by assisting with surveys questionnaires and/or certificates.
• Assist with vendor contracts pricing and areas for improvement for freight suppliers and service providers.
• Collaborate with the finance department to set up new vendors.
• Clean-up/close old purchase orders (POs).
• Perform other duties as required by the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: High school diploma

Skills:

• Self-driven
• Well organized
• Ability to multi-task
• Great verbal and written communication abilities

Experience: 2 years in supply chain/vendor communications.

Training: On the job training.
