Job Description

The Investment Banking Analyst will support end-to-end execution of client transactions including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital-raising initiatives. This role involves preparing pitchbooks conducting industry research and coordinating with internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented self-driven and passionate about finance and investment banking.



Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Execution Support

Work on M&A transactions precedent deals private placements and fundraising initiatives by preparing financial analyses transaction summaries and supporting documentation such as trading comparable multiples.


Sell-Side Pitch Creation
Develop sell-side pitch materials to support client mandates highlighting strategic opportunities and value propositions to potential investors and buyers.


Pitchbook and Presentation Preparation
Prepare slides and assist India senior team members in preparing high-quality presentation materials for client meetings ensuring alignment with client objectives and strategic dialogue.


Industry and Market Research
Conduct in-depth industry market and product research to monitor current events valuation trends key financial metrics and competitive landscapes providing actionable insights to clients and senior bankers.


Transaction Execution
Gather financial data perform detailed analyses and support the seamless execution of transactions such as M&A deals IPOs private equity settlements and other advisory services.


Business Development Support
Assist senior bankers in business development activities by preparing background materials and identifying potential opportunities for client engagement and pipeline growth.


Project and Team Support
Assist in project coordination by facilitating communication between clients advisory teams and internal stakeholders. Support senior bankers in managing timelines deliverables and ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in investment banking management consulting corporate development or Big 4 transaction services.

  • Previous exposure to M&A transactions or relevant internship experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating client-facing materials.
  • Familiarity with financial databases and research tools (e.g. Capital IQ PitchBooks) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Strong client service orientation and teamwork mindset.

Certifications:

  • CFA Level I candidate or higher (preferred but not required).
