Your Opportunity

Mott MacDonald is currently seeking an experienced professional with experience in Renewable Energy especially in the fields of Solar Interconnector & Battery Energy Storage Systems projects. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The Principal Renewable Energy Engineer will be integral to our growing team working on some of the regions most exciting renewable energy this role you will manage renewable energy projects provide specialist engineering and technical advisory inputs driving towards meaningful outcomes and contributing to a net-zero future.

• Leading the delivery of complex technical advisory and owners engineer assignments related to renewable and hybrid energy generation in Malaysia and the wider South-East Asia region.
• Champion project development of renewable energy including solar and BESS projects in Malaysia.
• Experience in business development activities with new and existing clients with the support of Energy Market Leads and Development Managers.
• Serving as technical specialist attending contributing to internal and external meetings and site visits.
• Review and prepare comprehensive technical and non-technical reports including specifications proposals designs calculations and contracts. Your attention to detail will ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Developing and mentoring team members to grow their technical expertise as a line manager.
• Ensure projects are set up and completed according to the Mott MacDonald quality assurance system.
• Promote Mott MacDonald PRIDE Values.

About You

• Bachelors degree in engineering Energy Engineering or similar.
• Experience in renewable energy consulting and technical advisory roles working on a range of Owners Engineer Lenders Technical Advisory Due Diligence Feasibility Studies etc projects.
• Experience developing and writing high quality technical content including proposals reports assessments and advice notes.
• Business development proficiency and mindset to foster and grow current and new client relationships.
