About the role M te tranga mahi

As ourLead Advisor Survey System youll be at the forefront of how ACC listens to and learns from people across New Zealand. Your work will directly support our mission to keep Kiwis safe at work at home and everywhere in betweenand to enable effective rehabilitation when injuries occur.

Youll lead the planning and implementation of ACCs foundational survey system principles ensuring our survey programme is efficient scalable and future-focused. These principles include modular design automation cascaded reporting inclusive and needs-based insights and collaborative data stewardship. Your work will help our team embed these principles into how we collect analyse and report survey insights and feedback. This will ensure ACC has timely and relevant insights to inform strategic and operational decision-making.

Youll champion innovation in survey methodology foster continuous learning across the team and enable cascaded reporting that amplifies peoples voices at every level of the organisation. Youll also ensure our survey data is treated as a shared asset supporting knowledge sharing accessibility and integration with other data sources across ACC.

Youll work collaboratively with subject matter experts across ACC to provide research leadership focused on the integration translation and accessibility of insights and data. This role is ideal for an experienced researcher with a proven ability to design implement analyse and translate complex survey insights for diverse audiences. Youll be confident in your analytical and synthesis skills with a passion for best-practice translation and plain language communication. Youll have a strong track record of working with stakeholders to design and analyse technical findings and translate these into compelling insight stories that support decision-making.

Youre also a natural collaborator influencer and communicator. You build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across performance data research and operational teams. Youre comfortable working alongside technical specialists in case management analytics digital channels research and enterprise architecture. You bring a demonstrable history of partnering with enterprise stakeholders and senior leaders to identify evidence and insight needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. Youre confident working at pace. Experience or interest in developing a deep understanding of ACCs service delivery and operations will further strengthen your impact in this role.

This is a permanent positionwith Wellingtonas the preferred welcome secondment requests from within the public sector for the right candidate.

About youMu

Youll bring at least 5 to 10 years of research experience with deep expertise in survey design analysis and translation of insights into strategic and operational action. Youre a confident and curious researcher who thrives on complexity and youre passionate about using evidence to drive meaningful change. You have a strong track record of leading research programmes influencing decision-makers and building capability in others.

Youll hold a postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in a relevant discipline involving survey research or statistical analysis. Youre passionate about making insights accessible and actionable. Youre curious collaborative and committed to continuous learning both for yourself and across the teams you work with.

Weencourage you to apply if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex survey programmes.
  • Expertise in customer experience and Voice of Customer programmes with a strong understanding of how to translate feedback into system and operational-level improvements.
  • Expertise in integrating and translating research and data for diverse audiences including senior leaders and operational teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and synthesis skills with the ability to distil narratives across varied sources of evidence.
  • Deep understanding of primary research methodologies including evaluation statistical analysis of survey and administrative data and qualitative methods.
  • A track record of partnering with stakeholders to shape validate and embed integrated research and insight into strategic priorities.
  • Excellent project and relationship management skills and the ability to influence across disciplines and levels of the organisation.

The base salary range for this role is$117787 and $152430with appointment depending on skills and experience.ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.
