Job Description
Registered Veterinary Technician RVT
Department: Internal Medicine
Location: Oakville ON
Mississauga-Oakville Emergency and Specialty Hospital is currently welcoming a dedicated full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team.
Our Internal Medicine-focused RVTs have the opportunity to work with and learn from other RVTs and knowledgeable support staff as well as our board-certified Specialists. If you want to expand your knowledge and skills joining the VCA-MOVEH team would be a great opportunity for career advancement.
Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital is an asset; our RVTs are given the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed.
Registered Veterinary Technician RVT or eligible to register
Ability to perform a variety of clinical procedures including (not limited to): Venipuncture catheter placement radiology in-house lab work patient assessment sedation and anesthesia and patient recovery
Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a steady often fast-paced environment
Willing to further enhance technical skills and expertise
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
Confident and supportive team player who can also work independently when required
Flexibility willingness and passion are needed to provide the highest standards of care for our patients clients and each other!
Schedule: 40 hours/week (4 x 10-hour shifts)
