The Role:
Were looking for a Senior Copywriter whos as comfortable concepting a big campaign idea as they are polishing a subject line. This role sits at the intersection of writing and strategy: part creator part editor part process-keeper. Youll be hands-on in crafting copy across channels while also helping shape our style guidelines streamline workflows and mentor freelancers/contract writers to make sure everything that leaves the door feels sharp consistent and distinctly should thrive in a fast-paced environment know how to adapt tone depending on channel and audience and bring a mix of cultural awareness interior design interest and humor to your work.
What Youll Do:
- Write and edit copy across email SMS paid ads landing pages social site and direct mail.
- Lead copy testing efforts in partnership with Growth and CRM teams to optimize performance through headlines subject lines CTAs and more
- Maintain and evolve Ruggables brand voice guidelines ensuring consistency across channels while adapting to platform needs
- Help codify channel-specific writing guidelines (paid email site) to balance conversion and brand voice
- Provide guidance and feedback to freelance and contract writers helping them onboard smoothly and deliver on-brand work
- Partner cross-functionally to refine creative workflows improving speed and efficiency in how copy is briefed reviewed and delivered
- Contribute to campaign concepting and brainstorms with fresh ideas and a social-first lens
- Monitor cultural trends social conversations and the home design space to keep our copy fresh relevant and never tone-deaf
- Bring levity and voice into everything you writeyou dont take yourself too seriously but you do take your craft seriously
Youre a Great Fit If You:
- Have 57 years of copywriting experience (agency or in-house) ideally in lifestyle design or e-commerce
- Have a portfolio that shows strength in both brand storytelling and performance-driven copy
- Can write sharp witty one-liners as well as longer-form campaign messaging
- Are detail-obsessed (and can explain why you did or didnt use the Oxford comma)
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple projects without losing your cool
- Are tuned into social culture and digital trends with a genuine interest in home and design
- Bring a sense of humor and playfulness to your work and collaborations
Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience working in e-commerce especially in home lifestyle or fashion
- Are fluent in Figma Asana and other creative collaboration tools
- Have an editorial background or experience at an agency
Compensation:
- An annual base salary of $105000-$115000
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role and business performance
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
