DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Child and Family Services Division provides programming throughout Colorado including Foster Care (traditional foster care Unaccompanied Refugee Minor program and Long-Term Foster Care program) Adoption and Pregnancy Counseling Older Adult Services and Family Support & Education programs. Our staff work diligently with clients and families to support them in reaching their unique goals.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager applies a strengths-based coaching approach to manage a team of direct service staff who work with families pursuing private adoption and expectant parents exploring options. The Program Manager in collaboration with the Program Director is responsible for the management of the programmatic administrative and operational systems related to the provision of care and services. This position maintains essential program efficiency and compliance and communicates with key stakeholders. This individual will perform placement supervisor responsibilities including review and approval of home studies and overseeing the match of private adoptions and post placement visits. This position provides oversight to the adoption pregnancy counseling search and reunion and ICPC services. This position requires a flexible organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours and weekends.

  • Maintains Program Documentation: Maintains consistency of program documentation and ensures that documentation and reporting is completed in a thorough high quality and timely manner.

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES

  • Manages a team of direct services staff utilizing positive team building leadership clear communication delegation training and performance evaluation to encourage individual development and promote cooperation and team problem solving approaches.
  • Reviews and signs home assessments including updates renewals and addenda; issue certificates; and post placement reports.
  • Supports fiscal management of assigned programs to ensure positive financial performance and responsible stewardship of agency resources.
  • Conducts regular case file and data reviews for program compliance and quality assurance purposes.
  • Utilizes reporting and data to inform service provision and ensure program compliance with Federal and State regulations and guidance contractual requirements and LFSRM policy.
  • Maintain the delivery of quality services that are consistent with state licensing and standard operating practices.
  • Oversee the timely preparation and submission of documentation for services reporting and monitoring purposes.
  • Provides direct services including home studies post placements birth parent counseling relinquishment counseling search and reunion based on program needs.
  • May participate in on call rotation.

TRANSPORTATION

Must maintain a valid drivers license and carry personal auto liability insurance at the level of $100000/300000/100000.

  • Frequent regional travel. May be required to transport clients in personal vehicle.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelors degree in the social or behavioral sciences and three (3) years of full-time child placement experience or Masters degree and one (1) year full- time experience in adoption or foster care and child placement.
  • Meets regulatory requirements for Placement Supervisor per state regulations for Child Placement Agencies.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to fluently speak read translate and write in the following language(s):
    • English
    • Fluency in a second language is helpful but not required.
