In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage key customer accounts as an integral part of Port Ecosystem Business Division to effectively grow the volume and revenue for the Warehousing and Transport business
- Develop cost effective technical solutions initiatives and schemes to meet customers business needs
- Conduct research and analysis on customers competitors market trends vendor solutions and hence develop new value-added propositions.
- Project Management with various stakeholders to implement projects to support the customer.
- Involve in commercial pre-sales costing financial feasibility study and various stakeholder engagements.
- Involve in requirement gathering and continuous improvement to support operations and fine tune warehouse and transport solutions.
- Drive expansion growth for PSCH logistic products
Responsibilities
- Commercial Support
- Pre-sales pitch to customers on proposed value proposition
- Review customer tender requirements and establish the cost model and solutions based on the customer needs
- Iterative fine tuning of costs and solutioning for competitive sell rates
- Review the customer tender requirements and current practices to implement initiatives to drive down costs
- Project Management
- Manage projects with various internal stakeholders for the successful implementation of PSCH ASRS Coldrooms Dangerous Goods Handling and bespoke warehouse solutions
- Ensure timely renewal of all contractual purchase and lease arrangements for mobile handling equipment handhelds transportation equipment maintenance etc
- Solutions
- Devise new solutions that supports customer needs related to PSCH various vertical capabilities in Pharmaceuticals Dangerous Goods FMCG Chemicals Automotives Life Sciences Electronics Food etc
- Explore cutting edge technology in robotics to support the next generation warehouse solutions
- Product
- Define and drive the warehouse product and technology roadmap aligned with business goals
- Bundle various cross vertical solutions to a market ready product for cross border or reginal deployment
- Drive expansion into regional space for contract logistics
- Any other responsibilities as authorized by AVP and within the specifications of the job profile
Requirements
- Interest in Supply Chain Logistics
- Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and communicate comfortably with internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable with handling data and meticulous with an eye for details
- Reasonable numeric literacy with an ability to articulate ideas and strategize
- Good team player with a positive work attitude
- Analytical and systematic
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and data tools
- Basic understanding of legal contract terms and conditions would have an added advantage
- Overview of basic concepts of Engineering and IT systems would have an added advantage
