What you are going to do
At DEKRA youll be working with an enthusiastic team of specialists on a wide range of innovative products. Think of electronic controls batteries charging stations household appliances robotics and much more. No two days are the same!
As a senior functional safety expert you bring your knowledge and expertise to challenging projects. You work closely with colleagues contribute to technical discussions and help us continuously improve our services. Youre a trusted source of expertise within the team and contribute to a culture of learning and mutual support.
Responsibilities
You support the development growth and motivation of your team members as a technical expert by sharing your knowledge;
You are collaborative and responsible for your own (complex) projects and for the projects running in the team and act as a point of contact for customers regarding functional safety requirements;
You actively contribute ideas to improve and streamline our processes;
You help set priorities within projects and maintain a clear overview together with the team;
You work both independently and collaboratively on solutions that truly make an impact;
You independently carry out tests both in our lab and on-site at customer locations;
You assess products based on international standards and specific customer requirements.

Your profile
A Higher Vocational Education (HBO/University degree) in a technical profession (e.g. electrical engineering technical computer science etc.);
Knowledge of international standards such as IEC 61508 ISO 13849 IEC 62061 or similar standards that include functional safety requirements.
If you are familiar with functional safety according to IEC 60730-1 or IEC 60335-1 that would be a plus;
Familiarity with evaluation of system architectures and safety concepts. Risk assessment techniques like FMEA and FTA;
Understanding of hardware designs (electronics schematics safety concepts using microcontrollers);
Understanding of software development models (high level) programming languages and application of SW engineering tools.
Flexibility to work on different projects. You can easily switch between the diverse and complex projects;
Strong communication skills with leadership capabilities;
Strong language skills in English both verbally and in writing.
