Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Global Buyer based in Kuala Lumpur responsible for supporting Procurement Managers to operationalize their strategy through procurement processes within the Ingredients category.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader your primary responsibility will be to support the implementation of the category strategy on a regional & global level - focusing on the efficient use of strategic sourcing tools and processes in order to maximize compliance and efficiency.

Located in hubs in Switzerland Panama and Malaysia our division provides a range of services including the management of procurement for specific raw materials packaging indirect materials and other services. We also support markets with managing local spend.

A day in a life of a Global Buyer Ingredients
- Supporting effective contract management for the category
- Preparing for and supporting negotiation events as approved by the category Procurement Managers.
- Contributing to the global sourcing strategy by implementing the communication and supplier management plan.
- Ensuring compliance with Nestls Corporate Business Principles policies and standards.
- Identifying opportunities for cost and efficiency optimization and leading global initiatives to enhance value creation.
What will make you successful
- University degree in Procurement Business Supply Chain Food Science Engineering etc
- A minimum of 2 years experience within Procurement ideally within ingredients or similar direct materials.
- High learning speed and the ability to navigate in ambiguity in a dynamic multi-national organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex organization.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel is critical
- Experience in food technology or chemical engineering and sustainability projects will be advantageous
