Job Summary

Supply Chain Manager

Amazon is looking for a customer focused self-driven and analytical leader to join the Books organization. We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who can own complex problems within Supply Chain this role the candidate will work with cross-functional teams to identify and launch initiatives aimed at improving the customer and vendor experience.

Key responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing paid service programs operating within the supply chain team such as the Strategic Vendor Service (SVS) and Enhanced Instock Service (EIS). This position will own the operation and Kaizen of Instock Management processes for a list of vendors participating in the SVS program. Additionally they will be responsible for monitoring and improving the health of the SVS program itself and handling necessary transitions when required. This role may also contribute to other paid service programs such as EIS as needed.
The ultimate goal of this position is to maintain improve and modify solutions that enhance vendor supply chain performance while creating exemplary scalable processes to ensure Amazon has sufficient inventory to meet customer needs with minimal working capital impact.

- Attending meetings (Supply Chain team related to paid service operations etc.)
- Creating and monitoring service usage dashboards
- Planning and designing operational improvements
- Developing and documenting improvement plans for future programs
- Leading activities with stakeholders to implement improvement plans
- Managing internal outsourcing partners
- Handling inquiries and addressing irregular cases from vendors
- Communicating with vendors (via email and other channels)

- 3 years of relevant experience (program or project management working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience)

- Experience with reporting technologies and analytics. Capable of turning raw data into information and insights.

- Possess excellent business judgment strong written and oral communication skills and a practical common sense approach to getting things done.

- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills. Ability to work with large complex data sets and familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques.
