Amazon Japan is looking for an Investigation Specialist to join our Worldwide Operation Security (WWOS) Team. This role will be one of the core members in our team to investigative and pursue internal and external fraudulent/theft activities that pose risk of loss to Amazon Japan operations. This role will be also be responsible for implementation and management of loss prevention programs driven from investigation findings. As a member of the WWOS organization the role will provide efficient and effective resolution services as they relate to the protection of people product and data for Amazon. The position will be Headquarters based.
Key job responsibilities
Pursue investigative strategy detailing investigative plans to facilitate case resolution at the appropriate scope and pace
Identify and create internal reporting data analysis and fraud/theft trending while pursuing criminal activity Build and foster relationships with Legal Customer Service Field Loss Prevention and Logistics teams and various internal partners as required
Identifies and develops appropriate reporting methods and mechanisms to maximize efficiencies and investigation best practices across the Amazon network.
Serves as the investigative subject matter expert for Loss prevention investigations keeping abreast of key issues and strategies
Manages multiple investigations simultaneously and prioritize resources accordingly
Operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity.
Bachelors degree or equivalent skill in the related field
2 years of relevant experience identifying investigating and resolving theft and/or fraud incidents
2 years of relevant experience conducting complex data as well as root cause analysis and recommending mitigations
Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite including advanced knowledge of Excel
Business level Japanese and English
Experience with e-commerce or online payment fraud investigations
Proven oral and written English communication skills in prior work experience
Proven investigative experience on cyber crime/intellectual offense at Japan National Police Agency or Tokyo Metropolitan Police a strong plus.
3 years of experience as a paralegal at a criminal legal office an in-house legal associate building case files and law enforcement presentations or other comparable experience will be a strong plus.
Investigative experience identifying resolving conducting root cause analysis and recommending mitigation enhancements
