Job Description
Hypebeast is a leading global platform for contemporary culture and lifestyle and a premier destination for editorially-driven news and commerce. Founded in 2005 it became a publicly listed media company in 2016 and today boasts a global readership across North America Asia Pacific Europe and more. The Group has expanded its publishing brands to a wider scope encompassing Hypebeast and its multiple content distribution platforms creative agency Hypemaker and e-commerce and retail platform HBX.
Responsibilities:
- Mainly responsible for the direction and production progress of advertising campaigns and media tie-ups.
- Smoothly manage approximately three projects per month.
- Develop advertising campaign concepts based on client requirements. Collaborate with the Brand Partnership team (Sales team) to create concepts and ideas that incorporate new digital trends local and global events.
- Ensure the implementation of new and unique campaigns and projects by working closely with stakeholders and project managers. Create stimulating and engaging content while exploring story-driven visuals.
- Write approximately one news article per day.
- Collaborate closely with the Editor-in-Chief to maintain the standards of the HYPEBEAST brand.
Requirements:
- Can write or commission exciting manuscripts with passion.
- Can create and explain presentation materials that are easy to understand for the audience.
- Ability to read write and communicate verbally in English is preferable.
- Skilled in directing photography and video shoots.
- Always strives to produce high-quality content even under short deadlines.
- Pays strong attention to detail and can negotiate with clients adjusting ideas according to their wishes and clearly explaining what is and isnt possible.
- Preferably has at least two years of experience working in the media industry and will be given to those with experience in advertising production in transactions with advertisers and agencies.
- Experience working with social media and keeping up-to-date with online fashion and pop culture information is preferred.
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Reside in Tokyo and be fluent in Japanese.
Portfolio must be submitted in Japanese.
