The Native American Community Clinic is dedicated to addressing health disparities within the urban Native American community of the Twin Cities. Our mission is to promote the health and wellness of mind body and spirit for Native American families through a comprehensive range of healthcare services.

The Native American community clinic Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for someone that is competent and compassionate with a high EQ to treat and teach the community we serve. At The Native American community clinic we provide holistic care to our patient base which includes oral care medical services behavior health IOP and traditional healing!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental cleanings including removal of plaque calculus and stains from teeth
  • Deliver high-quality standard of care through preventive treatments diagnostics and evidence-based protocols
  • Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride
  • Conduct oral health assessments and document patient conditions
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
  • Review and update patient health histories
  • Assist dentists during examinations and treatments as required
  • Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Ensure accurate charting and documentation in dental records

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
  • Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (where applicable)
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with dental practice management software (e.g. Epic wisdom)
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
