Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Home Care team in Queens! Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive supportive and innovative environment!
Job Type: Per Diem
Pay rate: $65-$80 per visit (W2)
Location: Queens
Schedule: Super flexible!
What Youll Be Doing:
- Provide 1:1 treatment
- Plan prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain improve or restore physical functioning alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
- Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
- Perform and document an initial exam evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience

- Occupational Therapist Program Graduate.
- NY Occupational Therapy License or eligible.
- Evaluates patients need for occupational therapy and develops appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.
- Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
- Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
- Strong communication skills between patients support staff and management including timely responses via text email phone etc.
