Job Skills / Requirements

SEJ Services is seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team in Lowcountry SC area. The successful candidate will oversee all branch operations. The ideal candidate will have service industry management experience strong attention to detail and superior managerial skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational proactive communication problem-solving and decision-making skills.

This position is required to maintain the scope of work as contracted by the customer. As such this position may need to perform physical tasks or fill-in for all laborers who call out of work. This may include bending lifting walking stocking supplies and performing various facilities maintenance tasks depending on the contracted scope of work at your assigned site(s).

The position reports to the Operations Manager and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Position Details:

• Position Title Operations Assistant
• Hours 40 hours per week depending on assignment
• General Location Daniel Island/Mount Pleasant/North Charleston
• Compensation $20.00 per hour
• Facility type: Various Buildings
• Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *some weekends necessary

General Duties:

• Conducts facility walkthroughs to inspect the quality of work and safety compliance. All issues will be discussed with the janitorial crew and managed through the online work order system.
• Responds to ALL calls for assigned accounts at all times (this includes nights and weekends if necessary).
• Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; being proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems; recommending operational improvements.
• Fill in when employees cannot make it to work by performing duties such as
• Vacuuming restroom cleaning window cleaning dusting trash disposal emergency requests and many other miscellaneous cleaning duties.
• Standing Walking and Bending will be required for all job duties for the entire shift.
• Must be hardworking reliable customer service-oriented friendly professional and a team player.
• Floor care and pressure washing experience are preferred.

• Must clear a FEDERAL background check
• Lift 35 lbs carry full trash bags operate and lift janitorial equipment lift and stock janitorial supplies.
• Speak read and write English
