Job Description
- Sets up operates and maintains physiological pressure monitoring devices the heart-lung machine the intra-aortic balloon pump ventricular assist devices along with other systems used during the surgical procedure.
- Performs laboratory procedures as needed.
- Documents actions / clinical parameters / responses in a manner consistent with documentation standards.
- Cleans and maintains equipment / supplies and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate people.
- Documents patient chargeable items according to standards.
- Required Bachelors Degree or equivalent Graduate of a CAAHEP approved program of Perfusion Technology
- Preferred Masters Degree Perfusion Science
- 2 years of relevant experience Certified Clinical Perfusionist Preferred
- Pediatric Perfusionist Preferred
- Skills knowledge abilities typically gained through mechanical circulatory training support Preferred
- CRT-Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) - ABCP American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion 1 Year required
