Job Description

Introduction

At Peke Waihanga our vision is independent and productive lives for the people we care for. We lead the way in prosthetic orthotic and rehabilitation services across Aotearoa New Zealand integrating expertise in prosthetics orthotics fabrication rehabilitation product development and peer support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly dedicated and highly skilled team at the Wellington Centre. Youll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where your contribution is valued and where youll be supported with ongoing training and professional development to grow your expertise in amputee rehabilitation.

Description

About the role

As a Physiotherapist at Peke Waihanga you will:

  • Work across all aspects of post-amputation care from stump management through to fitting and training in the use of artificial limbs
  • Be an integral member of our interdisciplinary clinics and team decision-making processes
  • Develop and maintain strong professional networks across health providers to ensure seamless patient care
  • Gain specialist skills in amputee rehabilitation with full support from our team


Skills And Experiences

What were looking for

We are seeking a strong communicator with:

  • Experience in rehabilitation and delivering patient-centred care
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Interest in prosthetics orthotics and rehabilitation
  • A commitment to equity ensuring all patients have access to the right care and technology based on need
  • Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (or eligibility)
