RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY AREAS:
- Regulatory Compliance (NOM-STPS)
- Identification & Evaluation of Compliance
- Advisory & Implementation Support
- Development of Control Measures & Programs
- Continuous Monitoring & Improvement
- ISO 45001 System Management:
- Support in the Design Implementation & Maintenance of OHSMS
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
- OHS Objectives & Programs
- Development of OHS Procedures & Records
- Coordination and Supervision of Safety Activities
- On-Site Supervision
- Incident Accident & Disease Investigation
- Safety Training & Education
- Development of a Safety Culture
- Performance Reporting
Requirements - Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety or Health and Safety also degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Engineer
- English language skills Reading and Speaking.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in the area of safety
- Competency in energy isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Training and experience in working at heights adhering to all applicable safety standards.
- Proficiency in overseeing and performing hot work activities safely.
- Knowledge of best practices and precautions for lifting operations.
- Completion of the OSHA 30-hour training program (preferred).
- Expertise in accident and incident investigation including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Strong understanding and application of STPS regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Tasks:
- Conduct safety inspections and facility walk-throughs.
- Participate in safety meetings and deliver talks/training.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze safety performance indicators.
- Advise on selection and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain clear communication with management and staff.
- Review high-risk work permits when applicable
