In this role youll join the Search and Browse Experience team led by an Engineering Manager. Youll collaborate with a driven diverse group of engineers working closely with Product Managers and Design experts. Your responsibility will be to develop high-quality efficient solutions that elevate Zalandos Search and Browse experience which serves over 50 million customers each month.
Design develop deploy and operate software solutions that will improve Zalandos search and browse experience.
Communicate with various stakeholders to understand the business context and translate the requirements into technical designs.
Act like an owner by taking up a challenge work towards reducing ambiguity and break the work down into manageable tasks for the team.
Establish trust and technical excellence beyond the team and collaborate with other internal product and technology teams to build scalable systems which integrate into the larger context of Zalando
Continuously improve the performance of our systems and your skill set as a software engineer and share knowledge with your colleagues.
WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You are proficient in developing large-scale applications in Typescript & Javascript NodeJS and React.
You are not only experienced with integrating APIs but have a deep understanding of GraphQL and REST architectural styles.
You consistently demonstrate an entrepreneurial analytical and customer-centric approach and you have an insatiable desire to improve the experience for our customers.
You have experience in all parts of the software development life cycle: building testing deploying and operating in production.
You have hands-on experience in improving front-end performance and observability and worked with front-end monitoring/logging tools like Sentry. You have an affinity for the reliability monitoring scalability and performance of the app.
You communicate effectively in English and can articulate complex technical solutions for product design and engineering teams.
BONUS / NICE TO HAVES
You have hands-on experience developing cross-platform mobile experiences with React Native.
