Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as education human resources law psychology social sciences public health student affairs or a related discipline
At least two years of relevant experience conducting investigations facilitating training or coordinating outreach and prevention initiatives in a compliance regulatory student affairs or civil rights setting
Demonstrated knowledge of federal laws and regulations including Title IX Title VII ADA PWFA and other Equal Opportunity-related laws
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g. Juris Doctor Masters in law education public administration human resources social sciences counseling or related field)
Experience working in higher education or a similar institutional setting
Experience conducting civil rights investigations involving protected class status with a demonstrated ability to maintain neutrality and procedural fairness
Experience developing and delivering compliance prevention or student-focused educational programming
Certification in investigations or compliance (e.g. ATIXA SHRM HRCI or similar)
Experience using case management and/or learning management systems
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated knowledge of federal laws regulations and guidance relevant to postsecondary education including but not limited to Title IX Title VI Title VII ADA Section 504 Clery VAWA FERPA and PWFA and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act
Knowledge of trauma-informed investigative techniques and practices
Understanding of civil rights protections related to sexual misconduct pregnancy parenting and disability accommodations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint Adobe and Canva
Strong investigative research analytical and report writing skills
Strong oral communication facilitation and public speaking skills particularly in student-centered and educational environments
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet sensitive deadlines with strong attention to detail
Ability to grasp complex legal procedural and interpersonal issues rapidly and accurately
Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with faculty staff students and external agencies across a variety of roles and backgrounds
Ability to manage multiple programs and outreach initiatives simultaneously while achieving defined goals and outcomes
Ability to maintain confidentiality demonstrate flexibility and approach complex problems with creativity and resilience
