Position Overview
We are looking for a results-driven professional to join our team as a Senior Health & Safety Specialist. This role is responsible for leading projects and processes of diverse scope applying advanced problem-solving skills and supporting organizational success through continuous improvement and collaboration. The ideal candidate thrives in an independent work environment demonstrates leadership through mentoring and excels at building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Projects & Processes: Manage and execute projects of varying complexity with limited supervision ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Coach and review the work of junior professionals to ensure quality and skill development.
- Process Optimization: Support and implement continuous improvement and automation initiatives to drive efficiency.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Use advanced technical and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships through effective communication and negotiation with internal and external partners.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead projects or manage processes independently.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and automation tools.
- Familiarity with insert specific systems tools or industry standards.
- Professional certifications in insert relevant areas such as PMP Lean Six Sigma etc..
