DescriptionVertiv in Letterkenny Ireland is dedicated to the design build and distribution of Datacentre modules. We are complemented by our factories in Burnfoot and Derry who supply switchgear/busbar work closely with our sister plant in Croatia however due to client demand now need to duplicate roles in Letterkenny.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager is responsible for managing and leading complex modular data center programs which consist of a high level pre-engineered prefabricated components in factory as well as site construction. Ensures that all required resources such as planning engineering production finance sourcing logistics and construction are complete for the program. Plans directs and monitors program budget and serves as one of the primary customer contacts for program information. Has overall accountability for desired program goals budget compliance and be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing programs and its teams
- Supports presales in program definition
- Controlling program costs and aligning programs to strategic goals
- Ensures preparation of the program plan develop program scopes schedules contracts and budgets.
- Oversee the performance of the program projects including financial performance and operational compliance and report status to management stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Ensures proper methods are followed to track program cost schedules and performance across projects/programs.
- Ensures timely anticipation and resolution of operational issues and risks by and with the project managers.
- Ensures program methodologies for the project and the program management directives are followed
- Lead program meetings and the integrated product team (kick-off through project close)
- Manage contract labor and resources effectively.
- Develop internal relationships with management stakeholders
- Create and sustain a strong strategic and customer focus and maintain high expectations for performance while collaborating across organizational boundaries to meet or exceed goals. Supply timely accurate and relevant information to assist senior leadership customers or management in making decisions.
- Lead weekly portfolio and program reviews
- Conducts program reviews that identify root-cause and corrective action as well as continuous improvement and financial performance
- Support Business Development to provide future opportunities for existing customers and solutions for new customers
- Understand and support develop methodologies aligned with Business strategic goals
- Support development processes for identifying assessing monitoring and mitigating risk throughout the program life cycle
- Support communicate and defend the mission values and culture of the organization
- Assist in development Program Management processes and best practices to support the growth of the business
- Participation in global calls outside of normal working hours
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree with emphasis in business or engineering or directly related degree.
- Experience in leading complex projects
- Experience should include complex projects (over $1 Million).
- Experience must include the management of engineering and professional services contractors.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Manager Professional (PgMP) and/or Certified Construction Management (CCM) credentials are desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
- Proven presentation skills.
