Employment Type: Full-Time Employment
Work Setup: Onsite onboarding for two weeks followed by a transition to a remote setup.
Work Schedule: Night Shift (Following U.S. Eastern Time Zone)
Location: Eastwood Libis Quezon City
Salary Package: 40000 PHP to 50000 PHP/Monthly
We are looking for a Payment Posting Specialist to join our growing team! This critical role ensures accurate and timely posting of insurance and patient payments for a mental health medical billing company. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail experience in medical billing (preferably mental health) and a strong commitment to maintaining clean reconciled financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Payment Posting
- Post insurance and patient payments as well as adjustments into the billing system with accuracy.
- Apply payments to the correct accounts/invoices using EOBs/ERAs.
- Handle bulk and manual payment entries for both electronic and paper remittances.
- Account Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily deposits against payments posted.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
- Denials & Underpayments
- Identify and flag denials underpayments or overpayments.
- Coordinate with the AR team to resolve payment-related issues.
- Refunds & Adjustments
- Process refunds and adjustments per company policy and payer requirements.
- Ensure all transactions are documented and authorized properly.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of payment activities for audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and financial compliance guidelines.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with billing AR and client success teams.
- Generate reports on payment trends discrepancies and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree of any related field.
- At least 5 years of work experience related to Payment Posting.
- Previous experience in medical billing; mental health billing is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with EOBs ERAs and payment reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Comfortable working night shifts (US time zone).
