JOB SCOPE:
The incumbent is responsible for full stack development in existing EAI applications assigned through agile resource management to support business strategy.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design / Document / Implement / Test / Deploy systems & solutions to meet the global COE roadmap.
- Analyze business requirements to perform feasibility studies / gap analysis / functional / technical design for existing and new systems
- Examine existing systems design and processes to improve effectiveness & efficiency
- Research and recommend technologies and solution design to fulfil business requirement
- Work closely with global COE teams
- Develop the system accordingly to the agreed user and technical requirement
- Perform and coordinate SIT and UAT activities
- Responsible for production deployment and relevant change management process
- Work closely with other organizational units and external parties in systems implementation
- Ensure complete knowledge transfer from external solution providers to provide effective support on systems after go-live
- Responsible for functional / technical / administration / operation documentations of supported systems
- Active involvement in production support to ensure systems availability and stability
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Minimum 2 years of excellent experience developing integrations web services API using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ.
- Good experience in REST API & its related technologies (e.g. Open API Swagger JSON HTTPS).
- Good experience in SOAP based web services & XML-related technologies (e.g. WSDL XSD XPath SOAP HTTPS).
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. DB2 Oracle MS SQL).
- Good experience in code versioning & CI/CD pipeline such as Git GitHub GitHub Action.
- Independent and highly analytical individual with good problem-solving skills. Able to work under minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to liaise with various teams in the organization.
- Good attitude and able to accept a significant level of responsibility and accountability.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced team oriented agile environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of multiple technologies over career and ability to learn new technologies.
- Good understanding of insurance business domain and relevant systems would be an added advantage.
