Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global market access and reimbursement strategies for new products with a focus on orphan diseases
- Provide expertise in pricing and reimbursement activities including payer negotiations and value proposition development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of access and reimbursement strategies with overall product launch plans
- Evaluate and interpret HTA and reimbursement landscapes identifying opportunities and potential challenges for market access
- Utilize data and evidence to communicate the value of products to payers healthcare providers and other stakeholders
- Stay informed about relevant market access and reimbursement trends regulations and policies that may impact product launches
Qualifications
- Bachelors or advanced degree in relevant field (Health Economics Public Health Economics etc.)
- Proven experience in global market access and reimbursement within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong understanding of pricing and market access dynamics including experience with orphan disease launches
- Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with payers and health authorities
- Proficiency in health economics HTA and value dossier development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex access and reimbursement strategies to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Day-to-day
- Researching and analyzing market access and reimbursement landscapes
- Collaborating with internal teams external partners and vendors to develop and execute access and reimbursement strategies
- Engaging with payers and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable pricing and access terms
- Crafting compelling value propositions and evidence-based arguments for product reimbursement
- Communicating with key decision-makers to drive support for product access and reimbursement
