Job Details

The Coral Springs Family Health and Surgery Center provides patients with convenient access to the same world-class care provided at Cleveland Clinics regional hospitals. This state-of-the-art facility specializes in primary care outpatient surgery imaging and more. As a caregiver on our team you will experience endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

Per diem procedure nurses support our Weston Coral Springs Coral Medical and Parkland sites in orthopedics podiatry urology and cardiology. Duties include assisting with joint injections ultrasounds blood spins reinjections bladder procedures and other outpatient clinic or surgical procedures. As an RN you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from initial introduction to final send-off providing professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory care this role you will interact directly with patients families and visitors offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as this position you will float between several providers to improve efficiency as they are well versed in multiple disciplines and assist with all COVID related assignments.

This is a regular PRN position with caregivers working days varying between 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

  • Assess health status complete nursing assessments perform telephone triage and establish care plans.

  • Assist with joint injections ultrasounds blood spins reinjections bladder procedures and other outpatient clinic or surgical procedures.

  • Perform and monitor stress echo and stress tests

  • Administer medication and treatments.

  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

  • Monitor EKG of patients and escalate as needed

  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.

  • Develop evaluate adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.

  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.

  • May require travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures in various locations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire

  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Experience with Urology or Orthopaedic procedures
