We are New Zealands fourth largest electricity network company managing five electricity networks across the diverse and spectacular lower South ourselves on delivering safe efficient and reliable power to southern communities and our project team are pivotal in ensuring our asset management plan is implemented effectively and efficiently.

About the role:

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in the electrical distribution industry to join the team at PowerNet based at our Gore depot.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing electrical distribution projects throughout the project lifecycle from initiation contract inception planning design estimation work pack generation commissioning and closure.

What you will need to be successful:

To be successful in this role you will need to be a highly motivated individual who possess a pragmatic adaptable approach with the ability to manage conflicting demands while maintaining stakeholder relationships.

The key knowledge experience and skills you will need to bring include:

  • A qualification in Electricity Supply Electrical engineering or project management
  • At least three years experience in the electrical distribution sector
  • Distribution network analysis and design experience
  • Project and contract management experience
  • Computer literate with proven ability to undertake data analysis and report writing
  • Sound commercial and financial capability managing multiple projects
  • A current full NZ drivers licence
