Learn more at are searching for the best talent for a Senior Engineer Electrical Engineering to join our Team in Malvern PA!
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the system owner and subject matter expert (SME) for Electrical Power Distribution Management at our pharmaceutical drug substance manufacturing facility in Malvern PA. The ideal candidate will focus on utility infrastructure management including switchgears generators uninterrupted power supplies and building electrical distributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the lifecycle management of electrical assets including scoping budgeting planning execution and turnover with a strong focus on electrical power distribution.
Engage hands-on to investigate troubleshoot and diagnose power distribution switchgear generators and related electrical infrastructure failures.
Collaborate closely with Equipment OEMs and suppliers to identify and resolve complex equipment issues in utility systems.
Ensure that all project work is completed on-time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Supervise contractors and vendors ensuring work is performed in accordance with SOPs regulations and company policies specific to utility infrastructure.
Identify and implement improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability maximizing uptime reducing spare parts consumption and minimizing compliance risks.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering and/or a Licensed Master Electrician
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an electrical engineering/electrical system owner role
Thorough understanding of electrical codes and regulations
Strong expertise in electrical distribution including switchgear UPS systems and emergency generators
Proficient in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) wiring diagrams and electrical plans that are integral to electrical infrastructure
Proven track record of leading the electrical aspects of complex projects focused on utilities and rapid troubleshooting of existing systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and external customers
Demonstrated proficiency in the Control of Hazardous Energy practices including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
Preferred:
Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
Experience in the regulated pharmaceutical or biotech industries specifically related to utility infrastructure
Familiarity with maintenance and reliability best practices relevant to electrical utilities
Experience with control systems such as VFDs including applications for AHUs freezers and manufacturing equipment.
Other:
This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel for training and meetings.
