Were seeking a skilled Contract Engineer to join our Projects team in Invercargill. Reporting to the Department Manager youll assist in managing and driving the delivery of high-quality projects. Youll play an active part in tendering and pricing set up jobs with full documentation and clear budgets and assist in overseeing the entire project lifecycle-ensuring all work is completed to specification on time and in line with Fulton Hogans commitment to safety quality and environmental performance.
In addition to the above you will:
Ensure forward planning organising and ordering of subbies materials plant and people to optimise efficiencies on the job
Manage and direct contract administration understanding contractual requirements and expectations
Set performance expectations with Supervisors/Foremen and construction crews.
Youll assist in managing project performance maintain concise records provide accurate monthly reporting and keep project programmes up to date-proactively communicating any changes.
Utilise your professional communication skills with clients and the wider project team ensuring a collaborative approach

Were looking for someone with:
NZCE or significant industry experience
Minimum 3 years experience in the construction industry
Current drivers licence class 1
Experience managing teams and sub-contractors
Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on people safety and quality
Demonstrated experience in effective communication and stakeholder management
Creating Connecting and caring for the community
