The Opportunity
We are looking for a talentedsurgery intern who is interested in working in a dynamic and learning workplace. This 12-month internship offers an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to advance their knowledge and skills in surgery. Under the guidance of our specialist surgeons you will gain hands-on experience in:
- Assisting with a wide range of surgical procedures
- Managing pre- and post-operative patients
- Developing case management and clinical decision-making skills
- Collaborating closely with our multi-disciplinary team
- Participating in rounds journal clubs and case discussions
This internship is designed to provide a strong foundation for those considering future residency training or wishing to enhance their surgical knowledge for general practice.
About You
We are looking for a veterinarian who:
- Has a degree in veterinary science (or equivalent) and registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
- Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates a passion for surgery and ongoing learning
- Has a strong commitment to delivering compassionate patient care
