Assistant Finance Manager (Treasury Student Team) ()
The Appointee is expected to assist the Senior Finance Manager in supervising a small team of three accounting staff carrying out the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the full process of finance related-matters for students including issuance and collection of tuition and hall fees scholarship and bursary payments students loan disbursement and repayment and other related matters;
- Oversee and coordinate responses to external and internal enquiries related to students payments and receipts;
- Work closely withuser departments on day-to-day finance matters for students payment requests reimbursements and budgetary control matters;
- Review monthly accounts receivable ageing report outstanding tuition fee reports and students loan repayment reports;
- Prepare annual and mid-year budget review as well as year-end audit schedules for tuition fees and scholarship;
- Prepare committee papers and PowerPoints presentations and review relevant reports including management reports and detailed analytical schedules;and
- Implement system enhancements and perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent with membership of a recognised professional accounting body is desirable;
- At least five years of experience in accounting preferably gained in sizeable organisations with a minimum of two years in a supervisory level;
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Advanced computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel with hands-on experience in Oracle financial system is an advantage;
- Abilityto perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical abilities; and
- Proven leadership skills mature and self-motivated team player.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
