The Product Portfolio Sr Analyst will act as a strategic partner in collaborating with and supporting Carpet Product Development and Product Management. This will be achieved through the building management and continuous innovation of business intelligence and analytical tools that provide accurate and actionable data to all levels of the product portfolio. As a member of the Product Development team this position will translate findings into competitively advantaged insights and actionable recommendations that guide manufacturing complexity product life cycle and optimization of sales.

This is an excellent position for individuals who are data curious analytically savvy residentially astute and passionate about sharing their insight-driven recommendations to drive growth lower cost and make a positive impact. The candidate must have the ability to connect the dots between the process chain (single yarns finished yarns creels and tufting machines etc.) and identify opportunities collect data design dashboards establish facts and draw valid relevant conclusions as well as uncover business implications. This Analyst will be responsible for data mining and building reports that will supply our Power BI dashboards. This position will work on site from our Location 19 in Dalton GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Using the most effective tool(s) plan construct and deliver business intelligence and analytics solutions to support Product teams.

  • Recommend improvements and solutions to data sources and information delivery tools with a focus on continuous innovation.

  • Understands Carpet Manufacturing to enable sound recommendations on portfolio decisions to minimize complexity.

  • Understands what drives carpet transactions for each channel (BMF National Accounts Retail).

  • Gains an understanding of Shaws data systems so they can pull appropriate data into Power BI.

  • Create automated reports in Power BI that will help the team make efficient decisions.

  • Must be able to work with confidential data and safeguard as appropriate.

  • Provide on-going guidance to product team members.

  • Creates portfolio dashboards that can efficiently and effectively support the decision making process

  • Lead and conduct meetings and/or demos as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree in Business or Computer Science or related field.

  • 5 years experience working with data manipulation and analysis writing queries and sample/select large data sets from disparate data sources using Business Data platforms such as SQL Business Objects SSAS CAMS etc required.

Preferred experiences and skills:

  • Expert in the use of spreadsheets databases report writers and other analytic tools.

  • Ability to effectively interpret large amounts of data and translate findings into competitively advantaged insights and actionable recommendations that guide and support our business partners.

  • Understanding of database design.

  • Strong analytical skills including logical thinking objectivity and the ability to break down complex concepts into manageable components.

  • Financial acumen.

  • Possesses effective problem-solving skills and excellent organizational skills attention to detail and time-management skills.

  • Thorough understanding of information flows pertaining to sales analysis and financial analysis.
