Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Gelcoat is a liquid that hardens to form a thick layer of protective fiberglass and gives a shiny smooth position applies gel coat to production hull and deck molds by using hand operated spray equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operates spray gun to apply various coats of gel coat to molds according to production schedule ensuring color finish and thickness are adhered to.
- Pulls tape on deck or hull molds.
- Maintains and cleans test gel coating equipment to ensure it operates as required.
- Maintains a clean and environmentally safe work area.
- Continued awareness and protective actions regarding all health safety and chemical protocols and processes
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Must follow all safety standards and procedures
- Positive attitude high dependability and promotion of good morale
- Must adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve
- Pass a pulmonary function test and abide by a respiratory protection program to wear a respirator

- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
