Business Professional Integration & Development Manager
(Instructional Design and Presentation)

Jackson Walker the largest law firm in Texas has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Professional Development Manager in any of the Texas offices. The incoming Professional Development Manager will work with the Director of Integration & Professional Development and team to assess and create innovative programs and approaches to develop and engage our business professionals over the arc of their careers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Course Developer
- Evaluate and analyze learning needs and determine appropriate topics and training methods.
- Collaborate with Professional Development Team and stakeholders to design curriculum using instructional design principles incorporating practice exercises to support learner retention and maximizing engagement.
- Use Adobe Captivate Adobe Presenter Camtasia or other eLearning development tools to create on-demand learning experiences
Presenter and Coach
- Deliver instructor-led classes demonstrations and other presentations locally online or remotely.
- Partner with Professional Development team members department leaders and business professionals to determine the best procedures and technology tools based on workflow analysis
- Consult with Practice Group Leaders to learn about their unique business needs and technology issues and provide news and information about upcoming technology changes and improvements.
- Experience and/or certification in behavioral assessments and one-on-one coaching. DISC and Harrison Assessment experience a plus.
- Assist the Professional Development team with integration initiatives for new hires new role transitions and manager development through the employees lifecycle at the Firm.
- Assist with mentoring program administration.
LMS Administration Marketing and Analytics
- Expertise in administration in learning management systems (LMS) and other PD platforms. Uploading content managing user licenses generating learning plans and reports. University Site and LinkedIn Learning experience a plus.
- Create newsletters and marketing materials related to Professional Development initiatives.
- Generate dashboards with overall measurement of Professional Development initiatives to measure ROI.
- Maintain Professional Development intranet site including resource hubs and content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing courses and content for the firm-wide and process specific training curricula including legal processes leadership and critical skills workshops.
- Experience in skills gap analysis upskilling workforce and identifying core competencies for positions.
- Expertise with learning management system (LMS) Microsoft Office Suite Content publishing tools i.e. Camtasia Captivate.
- Expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish effective relationships with a diverse range of employees and leaders across multiple locations.
- Ability to keep confidential information observations and viewpoints regarding firm personnel or matter with a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate above-average attention to detail and pride in their work product.
- Ability to successfully manage time to meet deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in related field from an accredited college or university preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
Years of Experience:
- Five years minimum experience designing and presenting technology and/or professional development training in a legal or other professional service organization.
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise and temperature.
- Work sometimes requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
