The Regional Financial Controller SEA is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within South East Asia. This includes managing financial reporting treasury management within the region and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The role plays a critical part in providing strategic financial guidance to regional management and optimizing financial performance to support business growth and profitability.
1. Oversee financial operations within SEA and provide day-to-day financial services to the Isentia SEA business
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of SEA Corporate Finance team including management and business reporting for items such as accounts payable month-end Opex cashflow balance sheet and any other financial reporting required by local governments.
- Review and optimise key Financial Control processes including intercompany reporting. Roll out group internal control process in SEA.
2. Actively manage the SEA treasure function to optimise liquidity and ensure working capital is managed efficiently
- Safeguard SEA cash and manage SEA bank accounts efficiently. Ensure all bank reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and accurately
- Maintain an accurate daily cash book and a rolling 6-month cash flow forecast
3. Ensure SEA tax compliance mitigate and escalate Asia tax risks
- Ensure that all tax filings are all accurately prepared and filed and paid in a timely manner.
- Escalate any tax risks tax technical matters or any legislative tax developments
- Assist the Global Finance Shared Services Director with complex tax transactions.
- Implement regional transfer pricing methodologies advised by the Group and assist with intercompany recharge calculations.
4. Ensure timely production of the SEA Statutory Accounts and other ad-hoc
- Close the year produce year-end reconciliations and coordinate audit of the SEA entities with the external auditors
5. Lead and manage a high performing team
6. Ensures compliance with Isentia policies and standards and ensures compliance with all local statutory requirements
Requirements
- Tertiary qualified in Business or Finance Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements
- Minimum 10 years accounting experience including 5 years in a management position
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high volume environment
- Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Solution oriented
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage a multicultural team
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Previous experience using a large ERP Finance system is advantageous
- IT literate and able to pick up new technologies quickly. Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains/NAVISION Accounting Software preferred but not essential.
- Strong professional communication skills. Multilingual
