Job Description
Job Title: System Administrator (Hybrid)
Location: Lexington MA
Job Type: W2 Contract
Background/Need:
The Group supports the United States Air Force in many mission areas that include air vehicle survivability vulnerability of USAF aircraft to weapons systems electronic countermeasures and air surveillance for homeland support of these efforts the group operates airborne and ground-based testbeds composed of state of the art instrumentation and sensors. The Group requires one (1) full time Systems Administrator to assist with the installation maintenance repair upgrade of computer data storage and network infrastructure on these group testbeds.
Responsibilities:
Provide Tier-3 Support for FPGA development and integration into sensor test-beds and product lines.
Provide Linux System Engineering and Integration insights into proprietary platform- based systems across a variety of distributions such as Ubuntu and RHEL.
Configuration of Juniper Networking Hardware in specialized environments.
Ability to obtain FAA Class 3 Flight Certificate
Familiarization of Various Compliance Frameworks and applicability to environment:
--Specifically: NIST SP 800-53 NIST 800-37 NIST 800-171 and NISPOM requirements.
Virtualization and Container management using ProxMox LXC Docker and K3s.
FPGA Driver Lifecycle Management: Modernization deployment and security relevant documentation/assessment.
Management of enterprise solutions: JFrog Artifactory GitHub Enterprise Server Atlassian Confluence TeamCity SonarQube/Fortify Ansible Tower Synology NetApp.
Security Hardening Artifact Generation and Configuration Management: Familiarity with implementing controls based on: EvalSTIG STIG/SCAP(not used as much) DAAPM Compliant RAR OpenRMF CMMC Guidelines eMASS SCTM NIST and NISPOM guidance.
Ability to lift over 50lbs
Automation via bash/Ansible and DevOps integration experience with GitHub SonarQube TeamCity and Fortify.
Agile Framework experience with SCRUM/SPRINT work-flow.
Strong DevSecOps understanding: Configuration of Linters Static Code Analysis and reporting mechanisms. Integration of 3rd party software to enhance current development processes/inventory systems.
Virtualization and Container management and administration: Ability to set up a 1:1 emulation environment replicate/conduct fielded issue troubleshooting and conduct rapid iteration to meet customer deadlines.
Ability to build custom packaging for proprietary software and manage Artifactory Repositories for nightly and main line software release.

Must Have:
Extensive Linux System Experience RHEL Ubuntu and Mint
Experience with Windows Desktops and Servers
Experience Supporting FPGA integration and life-cycle management
Installation and Configuration of Juniper devices network services
Automation experience with Ansible Red Hat Satellite Bash PowerShell
GitHub Enterprise Management JFrog Artifactory Management Synology NetApp Management
CMMC Framework Control implementation
OpenRMF/NIST Security Artifact Generation.
CI/CD Experience
Ability to lift over 50lbs
Virtualization/Container Experience: ProxMox LXC VMWare
Ability to obtain FAA Class 3 Medical for Flight Support (if currently have big plus)
Collaborative Mindset and ability to work across multi-faceted teams to facilitate hardware/software changes.
Aircraft system experience.
CompTIA Security certificate or other DoD 8570 compliant certificate is required. The group will consider candidates that do not have this certification but they must obtain this certificate within the first 6 months of employment at no additional cost to the Lab.
Nice to Have:
Agile Workflow experience
Vulnerability Assessment Experience. I.E. Nessus Trellix Splunk WireShark.
Synology NetApp management experience.
Veeam.
Static Code Analysis.
Configuration and Management of Network Services: NFS DNSDHCP SSH SAMBA AD.
Proprietary Package Repository Management Experience.
Education & Experience: Bachelors with 8 years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
