Job Summary (List Format) Data/Information Architect Oracle/MS SQL
- Utilize data modeling tools (primarily ERwin) for Oracle and MS SQL databases.
- Perform professional data modeling including creation and maintenance of logical and physical data models.
- Supplement the SQL DBA team with production support (ad hoc tickets version/security updates etc.).
- Conduct current state assessments and generate reports on existing ERwin models.
- Develop and update data dictionaries model documentation and maintain a version-controlled repository for data models.
- Identify data integrity and consistency issues; provide reporting recommendations and aid in remediation.
- Assist with duplicate data resolution.
- Generate weekly progress reports and a final summary report at project closeout.
- Perform reverse and forward engineering of database structures.
- Ensure database designs support scalability integrity and performance requirements.
- Apply best practices for data modeling metadata management and documentation.
- Collaborate with database engineers/administrators application architects/developers business analysts and server support teams to translate business requirements into data models.
- Support production environments for Oracle and MS SQL databases as directed.
- Support data governance and compliance initiatives through strategic data modeling.
- Participate in after-hours work as needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years professional data modeling experience especially with ERwin.
- Experience with Oracle 19 DBA and SQL Server 2019/2022.
- Experience with Dell DD Boost for Oracle backup and restore.
- Familiarity with Oracle Grid Control and Oracle ASM.
- SQL Server DBA Certification.
- Oracle Certified Associate or equivalent Oracle certification.
- Ability to work on-site in Columbia SC or relocate immediately.
Team Environment:
- Work within a team of 6 database engineers/administrators and collaborate with IT and business teams.
