Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer
Oklahoma City OK / Plano TX / Everett WA
Contract
- Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
- Develops basic/complex statements of work metrics schedules and budgets
- Analyzes results and supports design reviews
- Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g. rejection tags production action requests shop revision requests)
- Follows documented processes specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
- Supports the development of statements of work
- Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
- Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design
- Must possess good organizational interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Travel as needed to support various test activities (less than 10%)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- 3 or more years experience in aerospace systems or wiring
- Willing to travel domestically as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelors degree in electronic and/or electrical engineering
- 3 years of experience in CATIA V5/ENOVIA/PDM
- Experience designing or supporting electrical wire harness installations
- Understanding of wire separation requirements and other EME considerations
- Basic ECAT experience
