We are looking for a hands-on Gardener and Farm Worker (Permaculture Focus) to be the first hire in our gardening team with the potential to grow into a supervisory or management position as the project expands. This role is ideal for someone whos passionate about organic farming permaculture and sustainabilityand is ready to combine hard work with innovation to help build self-regenerative food forests. You will work directly with the CEO/Founder (from Germany) to create productive food gardens and experiment with high-yield low-maintenance systems designed to sustain themselves over time.
The project is based on the tropical island of Koh Phangan Thailand and combines bamboo villas with food gardens spread across 7 rai of land. Open to both Thai and Burmese applicants.
Burmese applicants will receive visa and work permit support.
Flexible working hoursstart early and finish in the afternoon to enjoy the island lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Garden Creation and Soil Preparation: Build garden beds prepare soil and create planting zones for vegetables herbs and fruits.
Planting and Maintenance: Mulch water weed and care for crops organically.
Experimentation and Innovation: Test self-sustaining farming techniques and high-yield approaches to build food forests that require minimal maintenance.
Physical Labor Tasks: Dig shovel push wheelbarrows and move soil and materials for garden setup.
Water and Soil Management: Assist with setting up irrigation systems mulch layers and soil-building strategies.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track plant growth soil health and progress providing updates directly to the owner.
Community Integration: Live and work in a friendly family-like atmosphere with 10 Burmese construction workers and share our vision of sustainability and organic farming.
Requirements:
Passion for Gardening and Sustainability: No formal experience is required but you must love working outdoors enjoy manual labor and be excited to learn and experiment with farming techniques.
English Proficiency: Must speak English well to communicate with the German owner.
Physical Fitness: Comfortable with hard work in tropical conditions including digging shoveling and planting.
Proactive and Curious Mindset: Excited to try new methods problem-solve and experiment to improve results.
Independent Worker: Able to work alone while maintaining motivation and focus but also happy to be part of a friendly team environment.
Commitment to Sustainability: Shares our values of eco-living organic farming and environmental harmony.

Salary Range: THB/month depending on skills and experience with growth potential as the role evolves.
