What will you do

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil-Environmental engineering professional to join our Water Team in our Global Delivery Center based in Manila. This will be a start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within but not limited to New Zealand. As a Stormwater Engineer you will join as a key member that adds to the diversity of thought skills and experience of the group.

• Design and develop effective stormwater management solutions for various projects including Transport (roads and rail)/Land/Water infrastructure projects in New Zealand
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance
• Develop low impact stormwater designs
• Collaborate across disciplines internally to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant legislation guidelines and industry best practices
• Prepare detailed technical reports design specifications and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals
• Undertake site investigations data analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decision

What can you bring to the team

Firstly you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required
• With 5 years of experience in a similar position (Stormwater/drainage design and flood modelling)
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12d
• TUFLOW InfoWorks ICM are desirable
• With proven experience with Geographic Information Systems such as QGIS ArcGIS or MapInfo
• Fundamental understanding of hydrology
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate with the team in a knowledge sharing environment
• Maintain and build strong relationships with different teams in Aurecon
