What Youll Do

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards and supporting successful product launches. You will collaborate with suppliers to implement robust quality systems resolve issues and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assure supplier understanding and compliance with APQP processes and PPAP submission and approval requirements.

  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation including Control Plans and PFMEAs for new components and assemblies.

  • Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure alignment with company standards.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier-related quality issues.

  • Conduct on-site supplier visits to verify root cause and effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes (PPAP Run at Rate).

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives at supplier sites through workshops technical assistance and system development.

  • Provide technical support during supplier launch change-over and ongoing production activities.

Job Title

JR- Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Remote in Colima(Level 7)

Work Appropriately

Remote: This position requires work full-time from home.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree: Industrial Engineer Mechanical Engineer Electrical Engineer Mechatronic Engineer and all Engineering related or related experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive industry

  • English Level: Intermediate

  • Certification in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing or other quality-related methodologies.

  • Experience working with automotive suppliers or in a vehicle launch environment.

  • Familiarity with global supplier management and international quality standards.

  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly plant processes procedures tooling and equipment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical quality control probability and design of experiments.

  • Availability to travel up to 50% including regular visits to suppliers located in the Colima region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to investigate quality problems and develop effective technical solutions.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficient in print reading part measurement and gage design/function.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
